Welcome to the Robert McKee's GENRE Seminar during the TV SERIES FESTIVAL 2017, the new forum and event in Berlin with the guest of honour; the world's greatest Script Doctor himself! From May 11th to 14th the TV SERIES FESTIVAL will be held for the very first time . For four full days at his GENRE SEMINAR, Mr. McKee will give his comprehensive insight into the world of serial narratives, and his teachings on all the conventions of popular genres: Comedy, Love Story, Thriller/Crime, and the popular TV Day, where he will deconstruct the hit series "Breaking Bad" and disclose the magic recipe behind it.
The festival program includes the opening party, panel discussions with Germany's best auteur filmmakers and McKee, screenings of fantastic series, after shows  and an exclusive book signing of McKee's new bestseller "Dialogue". The festival celebrates today's golden age of serial narratives and gives you food for thought from the greatest screenplay guru in the industry. Filmmakers, screenwriters, writers, series freaks, journalists and game designers are invited to this inspirational four-day conference. Mark is an actor and lives between Berlin in Rome. He is currently working on his first screenplay. When not working, he likes to travel, experiment in the kitchen, reading and collecting all sorts of books, and whenever he can, he stops at the Artists Center in Milan to spend time with his like-minded colleagues and friends. Dan Burman is an actor and producer in London. He has produced several film projects and organised workshops for actors and creatives all over the world. He also owns a staffing company and specialises in logistics and management.



Julia Bähre is an actress on stage and for tv (three times comedy-award nominated for best ensemble "ich bin boes"). She has strong organizational skills and therefore successfully organizes acting and filmmaking courses and seminars. She is a baking fan and loves to spend time in northern part of Germany at the mud flat.


Panel Director

Joana is the founder and owner of the event company Fräulein Feiertag. She lives her passion for the arts and events by organizing and supporting projects for national and international clients. Her strong ability to stay focused in stressful situations and not loosing her humor at any point, are well respected.
